ABOUT DIPA MONI PATOWARY

I focus on the question of why we are attracted to abstract art perhaps more accurately nonrepresentational or object free art. There have three things why our brain reacts and attract for abstract art 1/ the brain effort to analyze the pictorial contentment and style. 2/ the floor of associations evoked by it. 3/the emotional response it generates. After elaborating on the processing Of visual art in general and abstract art in particular, I asked myself and I found in psychology as in neuroscience and behavioral studies related to abstract art, abstract art can stimulate the higher level areas Of the brain responsible for creativity and imagination.it should be noted that many of the brain imaging studies on art rely on reverse inference that is to say that an activation of a particular brain area is used as indication for the engagement of that brains area in particular cognitive process. Whereas activity of a particular brain area during a specific cognitive process imply the involvement Of that area in the that cognitive function the reverse proposition needs a wider support via high selectivity Of the response Of that particular brain area, or increase in prior probability Of the particular cognitive process. I conclude with several speculation concerning our apparent appeal to this particular type Of art.i found that abstract art frees our brain from the dominance Of reality, enabling it to flow within its inner states, create new emotional and cognitive associations, and activate brain state that are otherwise harder to access, This process is apparently rewarding as it enables the exploration Of yet undiscovered inner territories Of the brain, Abstract art, neurasthenics correlates Of art, artistic preference, art and associations.

” The visual system which is the vehicle that processes visual art, is aimed at filtering organizing and putting order to the enormous amount of data streaming into our visual system. Interestingly, at early stages of visual processing, the visual sence is deconstructed into its elementary components such as spots of light, lines, edges simple forms color movement ect. at the later higher stage the system reconducts these components into complicated forms and the shapes, colors and pattern. our uses bidirectional like top down and bottom up processing schemes and algorithms for visual scene analysis.Painting can trigger a range of emotional responses and stimulate creativity and imagination.it can also challenge viewers to interpret the art in their own way, which can be a rewarding experience. Emotional response, painting can evoke a variety of feeling, such as excitement, joy contemplation, or confusion.it can challenge viewers to exercise their imagination by filling in the details and building back up the baser elements if the painting. It can help viewers explore undiscovered inner territories of the brain. Brain activation of artwork activates areas associated with visual perception, such as the occipital lobe. It also activates regions linked to emotion and meaning making, such as the prefrontal cortex and limbic system. Links in our brain of painting may therefore encourage our brain to respond in ales restrictive and stereotypical manner, exploring new associations, activating alternative paths for emotions, and forming new possibly creative.”

I am doing abstract keeping an eye on all these things, i developed my proses in mixed media painting. I found why threads and lines are attracting me. because of my childhood memories. As I am from Assam Guwahati. they people of Assam they like to make silk thread their house, which is coming era worm. It’s a silkworm builds a cocoon that creates a naturally golden colored yarn. The process of production of the muga silk is a traditional vocation and is an inseparable aspect of assamese culture.
